The cancer epidemic has caused a substantial increase in cancer treatment costs over the last 15 years, a fact that seriously jeopardizes the sustainability of health systems. Evidence has shown that, for the most part, there is no true cost-benefit correlation for these medications. In this presentation Dr. Karl Lauterbach illustrates the challenges of the cancer epidemic, as well as various strategies to improve the management of oncology drugs.
