The creation in 1984 of the Basque Health Service (Osakidetza) defined a system of public health benefits in the autonomous community of the Basque Country, in Spain. An essential part of it is the catalog of health benefits and the portfolio of health services that delimits the procedures covered. Its adequate updating is the way to guarantee the sustainability and social efficiency of the system. In this Webinar we explore the reform of the healthcare system in the Basque Country that began in 2009, the discussion and dialogue processes with the Spanish Ministry of Health, and the opportunities and challenges that arise to ensure the effective provision of healthcare services.
